Carpet tiles are not really high tech by nature, but Heritage Carpets’ latest “70″range has some surprises.

HeritageItalian yarn manufacturer Aquafil takes waste yarn from used carpet tiles and from manufacturing waste and adds no more than 30% virgin yarn to make new carpet fibres.

The Modulyss “70″ range has a primary backing which is made in the Netherlands entirely from recycled drink bottles. This shows a real dedication to environment and technology.

The secondary backing also has a recycled content and is made up mainly of Bitumen, 100% free of those PVC nasties.

The carpets have interesting design and construction features not seen before in carpet tiles – you will have to see for yourself.

Aside from the pre-consumer features, all these carpet tiles can be taken back at the end of their lives and processed into more carpet tiles, fuel for manufacturing and or carpets for needy community based organisations.
