Jagas have been approached by architects, councils, contractors, developers and residential clients to match into existing architectural precast units and pavers. The reasons vary from restoration of historic sites to owners and developers wanting to expand or renovate using the original palette of colours and product.
Architectural home build

This architectural home build some years ago underwent major renovations last year. The existing pool was left untouched but the owner required matching terrazzo paving for the renovations. They found the original paving company had since gone out of business and approached Jagas to do a match.
Paving was required for the new stairs leading from the ground floor living area, but for the stairs leading up to the second level the owners did not want grout lines between the pavers as they felt the small space would aesthetically become to busy.
Instead Jagas made precast stair treads to fit the space in the same honed terrazzo finish. The upstairs balcony required a 20mm paver which Jagas manufactured in the same honed terrazzo finish with a 40 mm bull nose to match the bull nose below and stair treads.
The result is a seamless finish from the existing landscape to the new renovated site.
Vulcan Lane, Auckland – historic streetscape
Jagas manufactured replica pavers and dish channels for the Auckland City Council. The paving is almost indistinguishable from the original paving (which had been down since 1968). Jagas match had to be of a high standard as 40% of the old paving was recycled and used in combination with the replica paving.
Fonterra building
Another historic site recently renovated is the Fontera building. Jagas were approached by the contractor on site to produce a paver to match the existing exposed deck. This provided some challenges as the existing exposure was very fine. Jagas manufactured their bluestone paver with a half exposed finish with good results.
